Hi! I’m Dr. Rakhel Shapiro. I’m really looking forward to getting to know you!

I’m a clinical psychologist (PhD) and IFS therapist. I’m also a meditation facilitator, writer, and movement artist. I specialize in helping people clarify desire, build self-trust, and heal attachment trauma.

Many of my clients are thoughtful, accomplished people who want to live more authentically and creatively.

I use Internal Family Systems (IFS) and relational approaches to help you:

  • Develop a grounded, compassionate relationship with yourself

  • Understand and unburden protective patterns like people-pleasing, self-denial, and feeling outsized responsibility

  • Heal trauma from past relationships — in childhood and adulthood

  • Experience more intimacy and connection with yourself and others

  • Reconnect with desire, pleasure, and authentic motivation

  • Support creative and visionary parts of you

  • Build a felt sense of safety and self-trust

This is about helping you listen to yourself and trust yourself more fully, so you can live more fully

Many people struggle to know what they want, trust their inner voice, or prioritize their own needs. You might notice people-pleasing, self-doubt, or disconnection from your desires — even after years of growth or therapy.

  • Want support pursuing creative or artist parts of yourself

  • Want a therapist who understands your meditation practice

  • Want a sex-positive, pleasure-positive therapist

  • A deeper sense of understanding and compassion for themselves

  • More intimacy and satisfaction in their relationships
